South East Tasmania Forecast - Weather (Synoptic) Situation:
A cold front is crossing Tasmania this afternoon and will clear the east coast during the evening. A trough embedded in the southwesterly flow behind the front will cross Tasmania overnight. A high pressure system will build over the Bight on Sunday, extending a ridge over Tasmania and maintaining a cold southwesterly airstream over the state. The high will remain slow-moving in the Bight, maintaining a ridge over Tasmania into the middle of the week.
