South East Tasmania Forecast - Weather (Synoptic) Situation: A trough will cross Tasmania this evening as a weakening cold front approaches the west. The weak front will cross Tasmania Saturday morning with a trough to linger over Bass Strait through the afternoon and evening. A high will move to the southwest of the state in the evening then to the southeast during Sunday. Northerly winds will freshen over Tasmania on Sunday as a trough and cold front approach the west late evening before bringing a west to northwesterly change early on Monday.
