South East Tasmania Forecast - Weather (Synoptic) Situation:
As a cold front and associated low move away to the east of Tasmania, a vigorous and very cold southwesterly stream will persist throughout the day. Frosts will be prevalent over the following mornings as we see this stream ease during Thursday and a high crosses the Bight. A ridge will then extend towards Tasmania on Friday as the high moves over Victoria, bringing light winds to Tasmania. Similar conditions are expected on Saturday as the high moves slightly eastwards, and a cold front moves over the Bight late in the evening.
